American Airlines just turned 100 years this April, and as a celebration of reaching the centennial year, the airline is giving away 10,000,000 AAdvantage® miles to its loyal passengers.
The miles will be awarded to 100 lucky winners, each getting a 100,000 AAdvantage® mile in their account. With these miles, you can easily go for a round-trip in business class to Europe or multiple domestic round-trip flights based on your preference. Also, the miles are not designated to any specific destination, the winner can decide however they want to spend them.
You can enter the American Airlines centennial sweepstakes online by visiting their official website. Legal residents of all 50 United States and DC, above the age of 18, will be able to participate. However, the participant has to be an active AAdvantage® member at time of entry.
A single person can get 1 free entry daily, without purchasing anything online. Which means you can get 15 entries throughout the promotional period. However, you can get up to 400 bonus entries by booking a flight during the promotional period. Each time you book a flight, you will be awarded 100 bonus entries. So, if you book an American Airlines flight 4 times during the promotional period, you will get all those extra entries and increase your chance of winning the grand prize.
The promotional period of the sweepstakes started from April 15, 2026 (9:00:00 AM CT) and will end on April 30, 2026 (11:59:59 PM CT). The winner of the sweepstakes will be announced shortly after the promotion ends.
While American Airlines promotes the event with ‘No purchase Necessary’, there remains a significant gap between people booking flights and receiving up to 400 bonus entries, and people not booking and receiving only 15 entries over the promotional period.
